Learn to tattoo
from the people
who do it best.
The 9-Day Tattoo Bootcamp
A hands-on, studio-based training programme led by Dr. Esha Varpe and Dr. Abhijit Varpe — two working professional tattoo artists who have spent years building one of Mumbai's most respected private studios. This is not a course. It is an apprenticeship compressed into nine days.
Seats limited — next batch forming now

✦
Not a classroom.
A working studio.
The Programme
Most tattoo courses teach theory in a room. This one puts you inside a functioning professional studio from day one — observing, practising, and receiving direct feedback from two artists who tattoo clients every week.
Over nine days you will go from understanding the fundamentals of hygiene, equipment, and skin science to completing your first live tattoo on a real model — under supervision, with every step guided by Esha and Abhijit.
The cohort is kept deliberately small — 7 to 10 students — so that every person receives the kind of attention that actually makes a difference. You will leave not just knowing how to tattoo, but knowing how to think like a professional artist.
✦
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Nine days. Four disciplines.
One complete foundation.
01
Equipment & Hygiene
The non-negotiable foundation of any professional practice. You will learn how to set up and maintain a sterile workstation, understand needle types and their applications, handle equipment correctly, and meet the hygiene standards required to work safely on real clients.

MACHINE SETUP
STUDIO PROTOCOL
02
Needle Technique & Line Work
The technical core of the programme. You will practise on synthetic skin before moving to real tissue — building hand speed, pressure control, and consistency. Fine line technique is covered in depth, including how to achieve clean single-pass lines at various weights.

03
Skin Theory & Anatomy
Understanding what you are working on changes how you work. Drawing on Esha's medical background, this module covers skin layers, how ink sits in tissue, how different skin types respond to the needle, and how placement and body anatomy should inform every design decision.

04
Design & Concept Work
A tattoo is a permanent piece of art. This module covers how to develop a concept from a client's brief, how to prepare and transfer a stencil, how to compose a design around the body's natural structure, and how to develop a visual vocabulary that is distinctly yours.

What you leave with
Everything you need to
work professionally.
I
Live tattoo experience
You will complete at least one live tattoo on a real model under direct supervision before the programme ends. Not simulated. Not hypothetical. An actual permanent piece, done by you.
II
Moths & Owls Certification
Upon successful completion you receive a certificate from Moths and Owls Tattoos — a studio with a proven reputation in Mumbai's professional tattoo community.
III
Professional tattoo kit
Early registrations receive a free professional tattoo kit worth ₹10,000 — the equipment you need to continue practising immediately after the programme.
IV
Lifetime mentor access
Your relationship with Esha and Abhijit does not end on day nine. Graduates have ongoing access to both mentors — for questions, feedback, and guidance as your practice develops.
V
Business of tattooing
How to price your work, build a client base, communicate professionally, and start your own practice. The craft alone is not enough — this module covers what nobody else teaches.
VI
Community access
You join a cohort of fellow graduates — a network of artists who trained together, share the same foundation, and continue to support one another as their careers develop.
