Tezhip Illumintion 19"B

Tezhip Illumintion 19"B

Tezhip Art or Turkish or Ottoman illumination, covers non-figurative painted or drawn decorative art. In Turkish it is called “tezhip”, meaning “ornamenting with gold”.

Delicate hand painted art work on premium ivory markin cloth (100% pure cotton), framed within a circular wooden hoop, traditionally used for embroidery. Delicate and exclusive art pieces designed keeping in mind art connoisseur’s and collector’s interest. Hand painted black motifs inspired by nature, born of a fusion of divergent influences, with gold leaf painting within to give it a Tezhip illumination. I have tried to make a brand new style of illumination.

The hoop seen here is 19cm in diameter. These are ready to hang on your wall or set up as a mantelpiece, however you choose to display it. These make for excellent gift options to your close friends who love hand-made and hand painted original art work. Each piece takes hours of meticulous work and precision and I take pride in all of it. I love what I make and each piece is very carefully crafted.

They make for unique, exclusive and impressive gifts for your loved ones for all those exclusive memorable occasions – Engagement, Anniversaries, Valentine’s day J

I have added a few mock up images of how it could look once displayed. I would love to see how you have displayed the art work in your home.
